Hong Kong – the tourist dreamland

One of the hottest new tourist destinations is Hong Kong. Hong Kong is an autonomous province of China, and it’s a unique place at that. And this is one of the main reasons why you would want to go to Hong Kong on a holiday, no matter who you are. But just to water your appetite… what are some of the best things that a tourist could be doing in this place?

Our first recommendation for you to do when in Hong Kong is to go at the Victoria Peak. This is arguably one of the best known and most beloved tourist hotspots of Hong Kong. It’s the peak of where you will be able to view breathtaking sights of the city of Hong Kong and the surrounding area. No matter who you are, you will find the sights awe-inspiring. There is quite a debate on whether it’s better to see Hong Kong from Victoria Peak during the day or the night. We guess that you will have to see the sights both during the day and night in order to settle the debate in your mind.

Now, we have something special for the gourmets among you. If you like food, as most people do, then you will be delighted to try out the Hong Kong delicacy of dim sum. Dim sum when translated means “touch of the heart”, and while it has a poignant name, it only means that you will be able to eat some dumplings alongside other traditional foods. This was at once a morning meal, but nowadays you could eat it at any time during the day. And the verdict is that it’s absolutely delicious – any tourist coming to Hong Kong out to try this recipe at least once for their pleasure.

And there are dozens, if not hundreds of different things that you will be able to do in Hong Kong when you get there. There is a saying that’s famous among people that have visited both Hong Kong and the city of New York: “A New York minute is a Hong Kong second”. This means that life here is really fast paced and that you will be delighted at what Hong Kong has to offer.
